Thank you so much for this Gary. This is such a thoughtful recognition. I’m very grateful for the way my piece landed. Your engagement means a great deal.
After reading your piece, I felt a gentle yet profound sense of self-awareness.
Through your delicate descriptions, you convey the confusion, exhaustion, and rebirth of the soul.
Reading it felt like walking through a dream with you, witnessing the little child within who had been forgotten, and sensing the warmth and strength of reconnecting with oneself.
Your words gave me a silent yet deep resonance: although life is full of motion and uncertainty, when we stop running away and truly face ourselves, we can find inner peace and a sense of belonging.☕️
Thank you so much for this wonderful comment. It means a lot to me! I think she did, not as who she was but as who she evolved to be and I think that’s where this piece came from. Accepting the change 🤍
Exactly.. and using the mirror as your vehicle for change because we know one can’t change time but we can manipulate it for the purpose of growing inside our heads and our heart !
It’s such an honour for me to know that my work has been an inspiration for you alongside with being one of the reasons why you stay on here. It’s joy to share this journey with you.
I feel you. I think at its core it isn’t overcoming but giving the courage to actually face the mirror. Kids get scared easily, it is our job to hold their hands while they walk in the passage of wounds and flaws. I really enjoyed response to you. Thank you so much for your engagement
I walked into this poem like someone chasing the scent of rain after a drought. The blank page handed to you by the scar faced stranger felt like a mirror I wasn’t ready to look into, the kind that doesn’t lie but tells truths in riddles and sideways glances. You didn’t recoil from Scorpio’s sting, you welcomed it like a veiled guest at a midnight ball, because we all have that little child inside us who once believed in clouds shaped like castles and skies that never forgot the color blue.
This is such a beautiful reflection. Each of your words arrived very gently and deeply assuring in a way to let me know my poem landed. I fell in love with your last lines and I’ll carry them with me from now onwards 🤍
This felt like a journey through the quiet places of the self — where time doesn’t pass so much as linger and every scar, memory, and hesitation becomes part of the landscape. There’s something brave in admitting that you stopped running, faced the mirror, and found both shadow and spark there. Your words don’t just describe growth — they embody it: slow, tender, painful, and strangely beautiful. Thank you for crafting something that stays with you long after you finish reading.
Thank you for taking such time with this. The way you describe the quiet places of the self and time lingering tells me you really inhabited the piece, not just read it. That felt deeply generous to receive. Stopping, facing the mirror, and staying with both shadow and spark was slow and tender work, and it means a lot to know you felt that truth in it. I’m very grateful for how you met it.
Oof... That blank paper handed over like it’s heavy anyway. And “the minute hand pulled back, recoiling from Scorpio’s sting”..? yeah, I felt that in my ribs.
This is so thoughtful and kind of you Hina! I’m genuinely honoured by your words. That means the world to me, especially coming from a talented writer like yourself ♥️
I love the way reading your work makes me feel. You allow us our own interpretations and emotions as we float weightlessly in your world of wonder. Beautiful every single time.
This is one of the best compliments I can receive for my work Sam, truly. It means a lot to know that my work leaves a room for interpretation and allows you to delve into my world through your perceptions across countless skies and horizons. “My wonder world” I love that phrase. Thank you so much for gifting me your wonderful words. 🤍
I really enjoyed that. It was powerful, and you seem to find just the right words to create images in the mind to accompany what is being read.
That concept of the reflection in the mirror changing, from foe to almost friend is a great one. Superb, as usual.
